Sandra Diane Blankenship Herring

Mrs. Sandra Diane Blankenship Herring, 83, of Walkertown, NC, passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Forsyth Medical Center.

Sandra was born on March 13, 1941, to the late Drewey Cephus Blankenship and Gladys Mae Meadows Blankenship in Mercer County, WV.

She received her diploma in 1956 from Glen Lynn School in VA. Sandra enjoyed crossword puzzles, spending time with her family, listening to bluegrass music and collecting porcelain dolls and shoes.

In addition to her parents, Sandra was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Herring Sr; her eldest son, Eugene Herring; her daughter, Susan Herring; her daughter-in-law, Rebecca Herring; as well as her dear friend, Jack Garner.

Those left to cherish her memory include her five sons, Randy, Charles (wife, Helen), Marvin “Billy”, David (wife, Amanda), and Curtis; her grandchildren, Serena, Dj (wife, Celia), Tony (wife, Katie), Mikey, Dawn, Roman (Brittany), Ashley, Candice, Miranda (fiancé, Andrew), and Paula (husband, Travis); and 11 great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 4:00pm to 6:00pm Saturday, March 22, 2025 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
