Sandra Godfrey

Sandra Marlin Boughman Godfrey, 77, of Winston-Salem, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at Forsyth Medical Center. Born on October 27, 1947, in Youngstown, Ohio, Sandra was the daughter of the late Glenn and Evelyn Marlin. After graduating from Reynolds High School, she began her career as a radiology technician and later retired from Pepsi Bottling Company. Sandra was also a dedicated volunteer at Cancer Services, where she gave her time in support of others. As one of the first residents of Sherwood Forest, Sandra took pride in her community and found great joy in caring for her beloved cats. Her warmth, quiet strength, and kindness left a lasting impression on all who knew her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Bob Boughman; her second husband, Bill Godfrey; and two sons, Bruce and Chris Boughman.

Sandra is lovingly remembered by her granddaughters, Michele Boughman and Allison Posadas; grandson, Charlie Boughman; daughters-in-law, Christy Boughman and Amanda Boughman; sister-in-law, Darla Godfrey; her lifelong friend, Ann Douglas; and special friend David Whitaker.

A memorial service to honor Sandra’s life will be held by the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please direct memorials to the Forsyth Humane Society.
