Sandra Kay Marshall Cothren

Ms. Sandra Kay Marshall Cothren, 79, of Winston-Salem passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at Mountain Valley Hospice. Sandra was born in Forsyth County to the late Herbert Marshall and Cleo Couch Sparks on April 30, 1943.

Sandra loved being outside and gardening, her family said that if she stuck her finger in the ground it would grow a tree. She also grew beautiful, heathy, vibrant flowers. Sandra enjoyed being with her family doing different things like going out to eat and 4-wheeling with her grandson Brandon. She loves her animals Bella, Kaylee and especially Larry.

She is survived by her daughter, Sherri Cothren; grandson, Brandon Smith; sister, Sharon Smith and several nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank Mountain Valley Hospice for all the warmth and amazing care they gave our precious mother.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at Parklawn Memorial Park.
