Sandra Keener Myers

Mrs. Sandra Keener Myers, 85, of Winston-Salem, NC passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 9, 2023. She was born to the late Worthy Keener and Dorothy Stearns Kirkman on March 30, 1938, in Forsyth County. Sandra was a beloved mother and “maw maw” who was known for always taking care of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren any chance she could. The dedication she put into making sure her family and all the children in her care was irreplaceable. Her family will forever cherish the memories of her homemade cakes, macaroni and cheese and the love she put into everything she did. In addition to her parents, Sandra was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Carl Vernon Myers; and son, Ronald Myers. She is survived by her loving children, Steve Myers (Sharon), June Garlow (Tim), Russel Myers, Jeff Myers (Carolyn), Christina Kalanarhos (John); 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; siblings, Doretha, Ike, and Melinda; and daughter-in-law, Teresa Myers. A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, May 12, 2023, at Madison Heights Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Chris Elliott officiating.
