Sandra "Sandi" Kay Goings

Sandra “Sandi” Kay Goings, 61, of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, June 18, 2026. Born on October 27, 1964, in Winston-Salem, Sandi was the daughter of the late William (Al) Allen Grubbs and the late Mary Alice Faircloth Grubbs.

She was a lifelong resident of Winston-Salem where she attended Ledford High School; Sandi built her career serving her community through her work at Parkway Texaco and Quality Towing.

Sandi was a beloved sister, aunt, and friend who touched the lives of all who knew her. Her presence will be deeply missed by those who loved her.

In addition to her parents, Sandi was preceded in death by two brothers, Steven Anthony Grubbs and Boyce "Skip" Allen Grubbs; one nephew, Steven Douglas Grubbs; one niece, Toni Renee James; and a special cousin, Danny "Ray" Faircloth.

Sandi is survived by her brother, David Lee Grubbs, and two sisters, Susan "Sue" Ann Grubbs-Dawson and Deborah Lynn Grubbs-Dixon, all of Winston-Salem, NC.

Also surviving are her special nephews and nieces: Chris Grubbs; Chip Grubbs; Nathan Grubbs; Stepfanie Grubbs-Canady; Heather Dixon-Gentle; Chris Dixon; Angie Grubbs; Keith Wise; Mike Queen; Tiffany Grubbs-Pratt; Anthony Murphy; Roy Dawson, Jr. and many great-nephews and nieces.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00pm Thursday, June 25, 2026, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Jerry Mathis officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00pm – 8:00pm at the funeral home.
