Sandra Lynn Smith Cooke

Mrs. Sandra “Sandy” Lynn Smith Cooke, 68, passed away on Monday, October 26, 2026. She was born on November 26,1957, in Surry County to the late Sherman Smith and Marcell Ayers Smith. Sandy retired from Carolon Company as a quality inspector after 30 years of service. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Stanleyville. In her recent years, Sandy enjoyed seeing her grandbabies, shopping and watching football, especially Tom Brady. She also loved spending time with her dogs, Jackson and Summer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cemon “Buddy” Wilson Cooke, Jr. and one brother, Larry Dean Smith. She is survived by her daughter, Mindy Parks (Brandon), two grandbabies, Amelia and Liam Parks, two sisters, Kathy Larson (David) and Norma Wiginton, two nieces and one nephew. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday October 30, 2026, at First Baptist Church of Stanleyville Cemetery with Pastor Eddie Honeycutt officiating.
