Mr. Sanford “Albert” Brinn, 79, of Winston-Salem, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.
Albert was born in Forsyth County on July 9, 1946, to the late Howard Styron and Floy Hodges Brinn. A graduate of North Forsyth High School, Class of 1964, Albert went on to serve his community with dedication and integrity, retiring after 31 years with the Winston-Salem Fire Department. He was a lifelong member of First Christian Church in Winston-Salem, where he was a deacon.
On February 15, 1968, he married the love of his life, Thresa Landingham. In their younger years, Albert and Thresa shared a passion for snow skiing and snowmobiling, spending many joyful hours together on the slopes. They also enjoyed traveling and listening to Bluegrass music and attending Bluegrass Festivals in their latter years.
Left to cherish his memory is his devoted wife of 57 years, Thresa Brinn of the home, along with many beloved relatives and lifelong friends.
A graveside service will be held at 11:30 AM on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at Forsyth Memorial Park in Winston-Salem. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel, 3315 Silas Creek Pkwy, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home C/O Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, PO Box 325, Dobson, NC 27017.
