Sanford David Koch

Sanford David Koch, 80, passed away at home on July 6, 2025. 

Sanford was born on March 11, 1945, to Jack David Koch and Flora Levi Koch in Louisville, KY. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the College of William and Mary and went on to start his own retail business. He was also a member of the Lions Club. 

In addition to his parents, Sanford was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Ellen Koch; and son, Gary Wayne Koch. Surviving are his son, David Koch; his daughter, Deborah Ballato, and her husband, Matt; and his grandchildren, Tyler Mays and Ashley Holleman. 

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, July 11, 2025, at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023. Merrifield, VA 22116-7023.
