Sarah Vanhoy Griffin

Mrs. Sarah Vanhoy Griffin, 71, passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born on May 14, 1942 in Forsyth County to John William Vanhoy and Dorothy Kiger Vanhoy. Sarah was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a lifelong member of Red Bank Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, William Marion Vanhoy. Surviving is her husband of 52 years, Larry Griffin of the home; one son, Keith Griffin and wife Lora of Germanton; one grandson, Austin Griffin. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Red Bank Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Gary Sanders officiating. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Red Bank Missionary Baptist Church building fund, P.O. Box 39, Germanton, NC 27019. The family would like to give a special Thank You to Sarah's caregiver Amber Lawson for her loving care.
