Sarah Gilley Jackson

Sarah Gilley Jackson, 79, passed away Friday April 7, 2023. She was born July 15, 1943, in Oak Ridge Tennessee to the late Creed Flannary Gilley and Ruth Quinley Gilley. Sarah worked as a teller for First Citizens bank after retiring from the Social Security Administration. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Sarah was faithful to her New Hope United Methodist family and enjoyed spoiling her two dogs Theo and Rocky. She loved all sports, traveling around to see her kid’s play football. Since retiring she picked up several different hobbies from upholstery class to doing DIY projects around the house that she would learn from the tv. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister; Nancy Boyce, and a brother; Tom Gilley. Sarah is survived by her loving Husband; Charles Jackson, two sons; David Jackson (Angela), and Daniel Jackson (Ashley), eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a brother; Chuck Gilley. A memorial service will be conducted 2:00PM Saturday July 15 2023 in the New Hope United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. The family will receive friends and share refreshments following the service in the fellowship hall.
