Sarah Frances Warren Welborn

Mrs. Sarah Frances Warren Welborn, 85, passed away September 22, 2026, at her home. Sarah was born in Lynchburg, VA on August 20, 1941, to the late Alton L. Warren and Frances Stevens Warren. She loved to read and travel to the mountains. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and cooking for everyone. Sarah was a Sunday school teacher at Union Grove Baptist Church. She retired from Roadway Express after over 30 years of service.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one younger sister.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Ronald Wayne Welborn, two daughters, Sharon (Mark) Apple, Robin (Todd)Compton, one granddaughter, August Compton (Noel), and one grandson, Jamie (Destiney) Apple.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 am Friday, September 25, 2026, at Abbotts Creek Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Ty Talton officiating.
