Sharon Hegwood Cockerham

Mrs. Sharon Hegwood Cockerham, 66, passed away Monday, April 13, 2026. She was born on January 24, 1960, in Forsyth County, NC to the late Billy Gray Hegwood and Linda Gail Wooten Hegwood. Sharon loved her children. In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling to the beach and watching the Walking Dead. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Foster Cockerham. Sharon is survived by her two sons, Kevin Cockerham and Jamie Cockerham; one daughter, Bethany Cockerham; two grandchildren Aeden Cockerham and Kason Cockerham; one brother, Tony Hegwood; one niece, Rachelle Hegwood and one nephew, Zachary Hegwood. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday April 18, 2026, at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall, NC.
