Sharon Wease

Sharon Lea Hensley Wease, 71, passed away on Friday, October 6, 2017 at Forsyth Medical Center. Sharon was born on August 4, 1946 in Norfolk, Virginia to William and Jeanette Hensley. She moved to Charlotte, NC at the age of 12. At age 17, her father introduced her to her soon to be husband, Keith Wease. The couple was married after Sharon's graduation from Harding High School in 1964. Sharon was an avid reader and loved animals. Her heart was always open for a stray dog or cat who needed a home. She was an extremely selfless person who was always there to help anyone in need. Sharon's family was the most important part of her life, and she treasured the time spent with her husband, daughter and most of all, her beloved granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister-in-law, De Hensley. Surviving family members include: her husband of 53 years, Keith Wease; daughter, Allyson Buie and husband Mike; granddaughters, Harper and fiancé Forrest Taylor, and Sawyer Buie; and siblings, Bill Hensley and wife Linda, Jimmy Hensley, Tom Hensley and wife Liz, Jeanne Faw and husband Jeff and Brad Hensley and wife Cindy. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Monday, October 9, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Mizpah Moravian Church in Rural Hall, with The Rev. John G. Rights officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
