Shelby "Jeanne" Wilson

WINSTON SALEM - Shelby ""Jeanne"" Morris Wilson, 78, died September 17, 2016 at Forsyth Medical Center. Jeanne was born on March 7, 1938 in Forsyth County to Moses Virgil and Nannie Mae George Morris. She loved her family and the Methodist Church. Jeanne was an active member of Hiatt Memorial United Methodist Church and later attended Reynolda at Union Cross and St. Mark United Methodist Church. Jeanne retired from the Winston Salem Forsyth County School System, serving in the cafeteria at Sedge Garden Elementary. She enjoyed reading, flowers, gardening and crafts in general.

In addition to her parents, Jeanne was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin William Wilson; a brother, Jimmy Morris; and a grandson, Zachary Tyler Edwards.

Surviving are her daughter, Vanessa Wilson Edwards; a grandchild, Samantha Dawn Edwards; two brothers, Joe Morris (Helen) and John Morris (Bonnie).

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel with Rev. Bill Baird officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Mausoleum in Walkertown. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
