Sherri Lynn Myers

Sherri Lynn Myers, 62, passed away on April 7, 2025.

Sherri was born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina on February 16, 1963, to Robert and Doris “Susie” Myers. She grew up in Winston-Salem, and was a current resident of Daytona Beach, FL. Sherri began her career in Winston-Salem as a Registered Nurse. She was employed as an emergency room nurse for approximately 30 years, formerly working for Novant Health and was currently employed with Advent Health in Daytona Beach, FL. Sherri Lynn would work all of the Daytona Beach NASCAR races. She loved her job and was an excellent nurse. In her younger years, she was a volunteer with the Winston-Salem Rescue Squad.

Sherri Lynn was a wild bird that loved life. She was an avid traveler and enjoyed making new friends. We cannot fathom how many new people she met on the many cruises she took, all of which were near to her heart. Sherri Lynn was caring, vivacious and very outspoken!

Her four-legged furry daughter, Lilly, was her pride and joy. They would go on long walks all around Daytona Beach together.

Her first love was her son, Kevin, who passed away at the age of 19 on June 10, 2005. Sherri Lynn is now reunited with him, along with her mom, Doris “Susie” Myers who passed away on November 20, 2011. We are sure they are having a reunion like no other!

Sherri Lynn cared about others and was able to save the lives of four women as an organ donor. This was the definition of “Woman Power!”. Her traits and her loving spirit will live on.

We love you, Sherri Lynn! Fly high amongst those angels!

Surviving family includes her father, Robert Myers; sister, Ginger Mendenhall and husband Landon; nephew, Josh Schaible and wife Jill; great-niece, Peyton Schaible; great-nephew, Chason Schable; and many cousins and extended family and friends.

A Celebration of Sherri Lynn’s life will be held from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM on Sunday, May 18, 2025, in the Robert F. Miller Center at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
