Sherry Jean Guyton

Ms. Sherry Jean Guyton, age 79, of Lewisville, NC, passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Forsyth Medical Center. 

She was born August 21, 1946, in Floyd County, GA, to the late Weldon Eugene Guyton and Lenii McDaniel Guyton. 

Sherry had retired from Wachovia – Wells Fargo after 48 years of service and was a member of Mizpah Methodist Church in Kingston, GA. 

She is survived by her sister, Marilyn Guyton of Lewisville, NC, and Marietta, GA.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel by Pastor Doug Klein. The family will receive friends following the service. Burial services will be held in Marietta, GA at Kennesaw Memorial Park with reception to follow at Mayes Ward Dobbins Funeral Home in Marietta, GA. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
