Shirley Faye Sloan Allen

Mrs. Shirley Faye Sloan Allen, 90, passed away Monday, August 10, 2026, in her home surrounded by family. She was born August 25, 1935, in Taylorsville, NC to Mary Faye Mills and James Mitchell Sloan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Paul Allen, a brother, Thomas Sloan and sister, Doris Sloan Icenhour. She is survived by her sister, Joann Sloan Blankenship, three daughters, Paige Russell, Angie May (Phil), Beth Dixon (Tyler); grandchildren Phillip Russell, Mattison May (Jordan), Ethan May (Ally), Bradley Davis, Alyssa Davis, Tristan Dixon, Liam Dixon, Colwyn Dixon, and Jasper Dixon.

A private family burial service will be conducted on Monday, August 17, 2026 at Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church, 8710 Meadowbrook Drive Tobaccoville, NC 27050 with Pastor Jenna Grogan officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:30 PM until 5:30 PM in the church fellowship hall. In her honor, the family would like to ask everyone to dress in her favorite colors…pink and/or lavender or happy hues of your choice.
