Mrs. Shirley B. Johnson, 79, passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2025, at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, TN. She was born February 3, 1946, in Carroll County, VA, to the late Clyde Elmo Parrish and Virginia Maude Higgins Parrish. Shirley was a Christian woman and enjoyed singing gospel music. She retired from Wells Fargo after many years of service. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and her dogs. In her spare time, she enjoyed fishing, watching Walker Texas Ranger, traveling to the beach, shopping, drinking her sweet tea and having her cheddar Sun Chips. In addition, she was a member of a bowling league for several years. She is survived by her two children, Tonya Godby and her husband Ron, and Taylor Addington and his wife Monique; nine grandchildren, Emma, Lyza, Maya, Tru-li, Andrew and his wife Anna, Aaron, Ron Jr. and his wife Sarah, Ethan, and Luke; four great-grandchildren, Sylvia, Blake, Scottie, and Sutton; sister, Linda Greene and her husband Eddie; and one nephew, Darryl Tucker and his wife Kristy and their daughter Grace.

A graveside service will be conducted 11am Monday, September 15, 2025, at Crestview Memorial Park with Pastor Gary Styers officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Second Harvest Food, 3330 Shorefair Dr NW, Winston-Salem, NC 27105.
