Shirley Hiatt Beshears

Ms. Shirley Hiatt Beshears, 72, of Winston-Salem, passed away Saturday, October 29, 2016 at her home surrounded by family. She was born December 22, 1943 in Forsyth County to Margie Long Hiatt and George Astor Hiatt. Ms. Beshears retired from R.J. Reynolds after more than 25 years of service. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Pat Sapp, Marie and Sandra Hiatt and two brothers, Tony and G.A. Hiatt. Surviving are three daughters, Gwen Whitaker (Alex) of Winston-Salem, Tracy Beshears of Winston-Salem and Deana Beshears (Tammy) of Rural Hall; three grandchildren, Robert McKiver, Davetta Cook and Charles Beshears; one great grandchild, Brielle Hadad-McKiver; one sister, Leisa Osmar (Pete) of the home; three brothers, Lake Hiatt (Karen) of Rural Hall, Terry Hiatt (Robin) of King and Gene Hiatt of South Carolina; a devoted niece and nephew, (my Sunshine), Amber Osmar (Justin) and Clayton Osmar (Rachel) and a host of other family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Ln., Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
