Shirley Warren Dillon

Ms. Shirley Warren Dillon, 76, of King, NC, passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2016, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Ms. Dillon was born in Forsyth County on January 5, 1940, to the late Russell Odell Warren and Leoda McNeil Warren. She was a member of Gospel Light Baptist Church and retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Odell Warren and one sister, Norma Teater. Shirley is survived by her daughter, Sheree Dillon Icenhower and husband, Mark of Winston-Salem; one son, Brian K. Dillon and wife, Lisa of King, NC; four grandchildren, Nick Icenhower and fiancé, Monica of Concord, NC, Michelle Bell and husband, Deric of Winston-Salem, Justin Dillon of Raleigh, NC, and Jonathan Dillon of Winston-Salem; four great-grandchildren, Jaccob Bell, Braden Bell, Landon Masters, and Mason Bell; two sisters, Brenda Weaver and husband, Mike of Winston-Salem and Cynthia Key and husband, Roger of East Bend, NC; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Ms. Dillon will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 27, 2016, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Steve Pegram officiating. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Friday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Crestwood Baptist Church, 530 Motor Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27105.
