Shirley Dean Bledsoe Fletcher

Mrs. Shirley Dean Bledsoe Fletcher, 87, sadly left us Wednesday, August 7, 2024, to be with her heavenly family. She was born October 21, 1936, in Rockingham County, NC to the late Roger Bledsoe and Isabelle Fulp Payne. Shirley enjoyed singing gospel music. Shirley valued her love for the Lord and her family dearly. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Foy Wayne Fletcher, and three siblings, Gaither Bledsoe, Gertrude Johnson, and Jocelyn Vaden. She is survived by her daughter, Thersea Fleming (Steve); two grandchildren, Austin Fleming (Katelyn), Mason Fleming (Heather); one great-grandson, Keegan Fleming; six siblings, Connie Albers, Ronnie Bledsoe, Gwendolyn Hill, Joyce Mabe, Gail Sharpe, and Zane Payne; a great-aunt, Geneva Mabe; and numerous loving nieces, nephews, and friends. A graveside service will be conducted 11am Monday, August 12, 2024, at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown, NC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Shepherds Center of Kernersville, NC, 636 Gralin Street, Kernersville, NC, 27284 in honor of Shirley Bledsoe Fletcher.
