Shirley Anderson Hollifield

On the evening of March 19, 2016, Shirley Hollifield passed away peacefully, in the presence of her husband of nearly 62 years, Frank Hollifield, following a long illness, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. Shirley, known as ""Nana Bird"" to her family, was a dear friend and neighbor; she leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and laughter. She is survived by her spouse, Frank Hollifield, three children: Jeff Hollifield, Mitzi Hollifield Brumley, and Barry Hollifield, seven grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. She was a doodle, and we will miss her. A celebration of her life will be held Monday, March 21, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev Danny Hollifield and Mr. Bobby Brumley officiating. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service. Entombment will follow at Westlawn Gardens of Memory Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Frank and Shirley's most beloved charity: St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
