Mrs. Shirley Ann Wyatt Hyatt, 75, died after a long struggle with cancer on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at her home in Winston-Salem, NC. She was born January 25, 1937 to the late Wade Hampton Wyatt Sr. and Pearl Craver Wyatt in Fork, NC. Mrs. Hyatt attended Knollwood Baptist Church. After 38 years of service, Shirley retired from RJ Reynolds. Mrs. Hyatt was especially fond of her family and grandchildren. She loved to cook and enjoyed new recipes which she cooked and served for everyone's enjoyment. She is survived by her husband, C.J. Hyatt; son, Wade Hyatt; grandson, Andrew (A.J.) Hyatt; granddaughter, Ashley Hyatt; a sister, Betty Wyatt Blackwelder of Mocksville; a brother, John Nelson Wyatt of Mocksville; many nieces and nephews; and former daughter-in-law, Leigh Hyatt. A graveside service will be conducted at Fork Baptist Church Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 25 with the Rev. Robert Garrett oficiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Knollwood Baptist Church, 330 Knollwood Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27104; Fork Baptist Church, 3140 US Highway 64 East, Mocksville, NC 27028; or Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. The family of Mrs. Hyatt would like to thank her caregiver and friend, Gloria for the love and special care of Mrs. Hyatt during the last months of her life.
