Shirley Newsome

Mrs. Shirley Williams Newsome, 79, of Clemmons, completed her journey on earth on Friday, June 14, 2019, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, and is now in the arms of her heavenly father. She leaves her precious family, to join her daughter, Robin Hanes; brother, Gary Williams; and great-grandson, Eli Carter, who preceded her in death. Surviving are her loving husband and the love of her life, Ronnie “Nick” Newsome; one daughter, Cathy Priestley (husband Jeff); one sister, Barbara Gentry; two grandchildren, Nicholas Priestley (wife Jordin) and Lauren Hanes. The family will receive friends from 5-7pm on Tuesday, June, 18th, 2019, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek. A private family inurnment will take place at Westlawn Gardens of Memory Mausoleum Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Ln, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
