Shirley Anne Williams Proctor

Mrs. Shirley Anne Williams Proctor, age 72, of Kernersville, North Carolina, died Saturday, October 22, 2016. Born April 29, 1944 in Wilson County, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Charles Thomas Williams and Lucille Taylor Williams. She had a large, loving family and was one of 13 children. She met her husband, James Richard Proctor at West Edgecombe High School, and they were married November 27, 1965. She attended East Carolina University, and worked in both Wake and Guilford County School Systems as a data manager. She was a devoted mother and wife, and was passionate about gardening, painting, and sewing. She will be remembered for her love and dedication to her family. She is survived by her husband James Richard Proctor, sons Bryon Keith Proctor, Wesley Todd Proctor and wife Ingrid Veneto Proctor, daughter Ashley Proctor Young, grandchildren Colby Todd Proctor, Carly Anne Maness, and Sydney Marie Proctor and siblings Cleo Matthews, Oliver Williams, Nancy Ellis, and Don Williams. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, October 29, 2016 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Rev. Lindsey Williams officiating.
