Shirley Cagle Salmons

Mrs. Shirley Fay Cagle Salmons, age 88 of Clemmons, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. She was born August 8, 1936 in Forsyth County to the late Rector Elect Cagle and Essie Hiatt Redmon. Shirley was a graduate and cheerleader for Hanes High School class of 1954. She retired from AT&T/Lucent Technology. She was a member of Clemmons Moravian Church. Preceding her in death are her husband, James Harold Salmons, Sr. Shirley is survived by her son, James H. Salmons, Jr. of Clemmons; one sister, Joan Plott (Jerry) and a brother, Tommy Redmon. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 7, 2025 by Rev. Christopher C. Thore. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Clemmons Moravian Church, P.O. Box 730, Clemmons, NC 27012.
