Shirley Scarlette

Shirley Jo Freeman Scarlette of Walnut Cove passed away at home surrounded by her family on February 22, 2020.  She was born July 23, 1935, 1 of 4 children to Harris T. and Mary G. Freeman.  She was 84 years old. She worked at RJR Tobacco Company for over 20 years. Shirley was preceded in death by 2 brothers, 1 grandchild, and 2 great grandchildren.

Shirley is survived by 3 children, Keith Freeman of Winston-Salem, Lisa Settle of Walnut Cove, and Judy Bowles of Walnut Cove; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren; and sister, Betty Grant of Lanette, AL.

A memorial service will be held 2 PM Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Refuge Baptist Church, 1005 Oldtown Road, Walnut Cove, NC  27052.
