Sissie Marsh Whicker

Our Lord took Sissie Marsh Whicker to her heavenly home on March 14, 2026. She was born March 6, 1947, to Lillie Mae Clodfelter Marsh and Arvol Clifton Marsh, Sr. in Forsyth County. Sissie was a member of the First Church of the Living God, now known as Faith Chapel, which was first formed in her Great Uncle Lum Aaron's home in the 1930's. She loved attending church and did so for as long as her health permitted. She was employed by RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company for many years, retiring with over twenty-two years of service. She will be remembered for her selfless nature, always putting others first. She loved being a wife, mother, grandmother, nurturer, and homemaker. In addition to her parents, Sissie was preceded in death by a brother, Arvol Clifton ""Clif"" Marsh Jr. Surviving is her loving husband of 37 years, Donald Wayne Whicker, Jr; children, Amy (Sam), Matthew (Melissa), Casey (Keri); grandchildren, Presley, Sadie, Jacob, and Emma; sister, Loleta Henley; and best friends, Gilda Byrd and Linda Jarvis. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM, Friday, March 20, 2026, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel, officiated by Pastor Gary Marshall. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown.
