Stanley Parks

Stanley Keith Parks, 67, passed away on December 18, 2022, at Magnolia Gardens in Warrenton, NC. He was born on December 12, 1955, to Alma Sprinkle Parks and Roy Albert Parks in Forsyth County. He served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1977. He attended North Forsyth High School and Forsyth Tech. He was a sheet metal mechanic for several years at Varco Pruden Buildings and later ran a landscaping business. He was formerly in the Teamsters Union. He loved cycling. He often advocated for citizens’ rights and for veterans. Stanley was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Carolyn James, his eldest brother Barry Parks, and his sister-in-law, Brenda Parks. Surviving are his son, Curtis (Amalia) Parks; his daughter, Erica (Stephan) Kielas; six grandchildren: Kevin, Jelcin, Isai, Jeremy, Jeremiah, and Tristan; his brothers: Stephen Parks and Tim (Debbie) Parks; and many more relatives. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM, Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with James “Chuck” Lewis officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM, Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may go to Disabled American Veterans.
