Stephanie Elizabeth Mikels

Mrs. Stephanie Elizabeth Adams Mikels, 45, passed away unexpectedly November 2, 2018 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. She was born in Forsyth Co. on April 3, 1973 the daughter of Patsy Jakovec Whiteheart and James Steven Adams. Stephanie was a loving wife, best friend and an amazing mother, who was beautiful inside and out. She will be missed tremendously by all who knew her. Stephanie grew up in Gospel Light Baptist Church in Walkertown and was currently attending Woodland Baptist Church in Winston-Salem. She owned and operated Hair Designs in Rural Hall. Stephanie loved her job! Nobody left her shop without a hug and “I love You”. She was preceded in death by her step-father, Bobby Whiteheart; her grandparents, Frank and Aleese Jakovec; and an aunt, Betsy Gossett. She is survived by her husband, Garry Mikels of the home; a daughter, Katie Neve (Jared) of Germanton; a son, Blake Winebarger of the home; a step-son, Hunter Mikels of the home; her mother, Patsy Jakovec Whiteheart of Germanton; her father, Jimmy Adams (Vickie) of New Smyrna Beach, FL;  her paternal grandmother, Bonnie Adams of Winston-Salem; a sister, Heather Arnder (Travis) of Kernersville; two nieces, Austyn and Stella Arnder; and a nephew, Elijah Arnder. She is also survived by three aunts, Donna Hare (Jerry), Sandy Tuttle (Kerry) and Lorriane “Lulu” Jakovec; an uncle, Ronnie Jakovec (Debbie); her Hayworth-Miller family and her sweet “Darby”. Funeral service for Stephanie will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 5, 2018 at Hayworth-Miller Chapel in Rural Hall with Bro. Frank Shumate officiating. Entombment will follow in Crestview Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 6:00-9:00 Sunday evening at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall.
