Stephen Gustav Lyon

Stephen Gustav Lyon, 82, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 1, 2025. Gus was born in San Diego, California, to the late Hamilton PK Lyon and Jeanette Kinmore Lyon on April 14, 1943. Gus graduated from Hilltop High School. Gus joined and served in the Marines, was a car racing enthusiast, spent many years involved in the Long Beach Grand Prix and particularly followed NASCAR. As well as racing, Gus also spent his free time playing golf, traveling and enjoyed summers outdoors grilling with Family and Friends. Gus enjoyed all his time spent with family and friends from San Diego to Seattle, the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean and all parts between. Gus was a loyal friend and will be missed by those who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, Gus is preceded in death by his brother, Stanley W Lyon; sister-in-law Judith Lyon; Aunt, Alice Kinmore Fiscus; Uncle, David H Fiscus, Cousin Kathy Fiscus; as well as his beloved beagle, Chevy.

Surviving are his nieces, Jennifer L Lyon and Kathryn K Lyon, as well as a cousin, Barbara Fiscus Simon.
