Stephen Ray McGee

Stephen Ray McGee of Pfafftown, NC, went to be with Jesus our Lord on July 3, 2026. Born in Winston-Salem, NC on August 25, 1945. Graduated from Gray High School class of 63 and High Point College class of 71. Stephen was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a faithful servant of Christ and member of River Oaks Community Church in Clemmons, NC. He retired from Sonoco Manufacturing in 2014 as a Cost Analyst Engineer. Surviving are his Bride of 40+ years, Sharon McGee; three daughters, Melissa Orr, Heather Alcivar, and Rachel Hedges; seven grandchildren, Tyler Spencer, Evan Spencer, Chelsea Orr Wilson, Aubrey Alcivar, Rowan Hedges, Emery Hedges, and Lucas Hedges. 

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday July 11, 2026, at 1 PM at River Oaks Community Church in Clemmons, NC with Pastor Sonny Flowers officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. A private family graveside service was held in Stephen’s memory. Flowers, food, or gifts will be graciously accepted beginning on July 7, 2026.
