Winston-Salem-Mr. Stephen William McGlamery, 33, passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at his residence. He was a 2003 graduate of Glenn High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne obtaining the rank of Staff Sargent. While serving in the Army he was both a paratrooper and a Military Police Officer. Stephen worked as a Public Safety Dispatcher for Winston-Salem State University and enjoyed music, playing the guitar, drawing and target shooting. He was devoted to his family, loved his grandparents and was a humorous person. He will be missed by all that loved and knew him. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Vickie McGlamery. Survivors include his wife, Dana McGlamery; his four children, Kaylee, Sarah, Addison and Trenton; his father, Victor McGlamery (Stasia) of Winston-Salem; his mother, Charlotte McGlamery of Kernersville; a paternal grandfather, Steve McGlamery (Rose) of Statesville; a maternal grandmother, Frances Wade (Richard) of Kernersville; a brother, SPC Edward "Edje" Collins (Emily), US Army of Fort Sill, OK; his mother and father-in-law, John and Anita Duggins of Kernersville; a brother-in-law John Tyler Duggins of Kernersville and a host of friends. A funeral service will be held at 4 pm Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Triad Christian Fellowship with Elder Alan Malchuk officiating. Interment will be held at a later date in Salisbury National Cemetery with full military honors. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
