Stephen L. Myers

Rev. Stephen L. Myers, 67, passed away Monday, November 24, 2014, at his home. He was born February 20, 1947 in Forsyth County to Kenneth Wesley Myers and Ruby Murphy Myers. He was the past minister of Bannertown Baptist Church and retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company with 33 years of service. He was preceded in death by his father; a sister, Brenda Willard; a brother, Charlie Myers. He is survived by his wife, Ethel Myers; one son, Jesse Stephen Myers and Fiancé Justin Smith; three step-children, Alan Farmer and wife Angie, Missy Howell and husband Mike, Ron Lee Farmer and wife Andrea; four grandchildren, Megan Farmer, Kendal Farmer, Evan Farmer, and Garrett Howell; Mother, Ruby Myers; three brothers and one sister. A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with Rev. Jesse Butcher and Rev. Don Collins officiating. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
