Steve Fountain Lewis, Jr.

Steve Fountain Lewis, Jr., 51, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2013 at his home after a valiant battle with cancer. Steve was born in Winston-Salem on October 22, 1961 to Steve Fountain Lewis, Sr. and Ann Steelman Hartsell. He was employed at Blue Ridge Lumber Company in Yadkinville. He was a loving son, grandson, and father. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Ira C. Hartsell; grandparents, Odell and Hazel Drane Lewis and Morrison Odell Steelman. Survivors include two children, Ednarose Marie Saucier and Kyle Morrison Lewis both of Long Beach, Mississippi; mother, Ann Steelman Hartsell of the home; grandmother, Sallie Virginia Steelman and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. A celebration of his life will be held at 7:00 PM, Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at First Alliance Church with Pastor Jeff Lonsinger officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00 pm prior to the service. A committal service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Courtney Baptist Church in Yadkinville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Alliance Church Building Fund, 1601 Pope Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27127 or to Kate B.
