Steve Ray Swain

Mr. Steve Ray Swain, 56, of Winston-Salem, passed away Monday, October 15, 2012 at his home. He was born July 15, 1956 in Forsyth County to Paul Raymond and Carol Absher Swain. Mr. Swain was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He was preceded in death by his mother. Surviving are one daughter, Jenny Hand; two sons, Richard Swain and wife Shelly, and Michael Swain; three grandchildren, Malorie, Tyler and Austin; his father; two sisters, Susan Williams and Sandy Swain; one brother, Shawn Swain; two nephews, D.J. Williams and wife Brianna and Damien Williams; and all his special friends at Friendly Tavern and Pinetree Lounge. A graveside service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 17 at Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:45 p.m. Wednesday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
