Steven Lehman

Steven Conrad Lehman, 66, passed away at his home on October 26, 2022. Steve was born on May 16, 1956, to JoAnn Fox Lehman and Everett Lehman in Forsyth County. He grew up across the country and graduated from Asheville High School in 1974. He attended UNC Greensboro from 1976-1980 when he graduated with a degree in Sociology. Steve remained living in the Greensboro area until moving to the Ardmore community in 2002 to be closer to family. He worked for the Guilford County Department of Social Services from 1986 until taking an early retirement as a Medicaid Supervisor in 2011. Steve enjoyed riding his motorcycle, camping with his friends and spending time with his granddaughters. He was an avid reader, loved dogs and had an affinity for alternative rock bands. He was quiet but had a tender heart and a dry-witted sense of humor.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents Everett and Jo Ann of Pfafftown, NC. Surviving are his daughter Emily K Lehman of Brown’s Summit, NC; son Paul C Lehman (wife Caitlyn) and granddaughters Rose and Eden Lehman who lovingly named him Pop-Pop; sister Lisa Carlin (husband Doug) of Liberty, NC; sister Kelly Lehman of Greensboro, NC; and nephews Nicholas Carlin and Alexander Carlin both of Cary, NC.
