Steven Clinard Flynt, 57, of Lake Alfred, Florida, passed away on April 12, 2026, at AdventHealth Orlando. He was born on July 12, 1968, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, to Henry Clay Flynt Jr. and Rebecca Davis Flynt. He was a graduate of East Forsyth High School of Kernersville, NC, and earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Catawba College. Steven moved to Lake Alfred on May 5, 2024, from High Point, North Carolina. He worked twenty dedicated years for Labcorp. He also attended Heartland Church in Winter Haven, Florida.
Steven loved and played all kinds of sports, including football, basketball, and baseball, and was a proud fan of the University of North Carolina Tar Heels. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, whether relaxing by the pool or traveling. Steven also loved cooking and grilling, and he enjoyed games like cornhole, as well as board games such as backgammon and chess. He was known as a loving, nurturing, and trustworthy person who was deeply faithful and had a great sense of humor.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Clay Flynt Jr. and Rebecca Davis Flynt. Steven leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 33 years, Alicia Flynt of Lake Alfred, Florida; his children, Kali Flynt of New York, New York, Mason Flynt of Kannapolis, North Carolina, and Bailey Flynt of Pageland, South Carolina; his siblings, Clay (Sue) Flynt of Kernersville, North Carolina, Kiva (Kenny) Goad of Clemmons, North Carolina, Dwayne (Melissa) Flynt of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and Darrell Flynt of Walkertown, North Carolina; and his beloved fur baby, Lily.
A celebration of Steven’s life will be held at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Homes in Kernersville, NC, on Saturday, May 2, 2026. Visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m., followed by the memorial service at 2:00 p.m.
