Steven Kent May

Steven Kent May of Winston-Salem died Sunday, November 24, 2013. He was born May 26, 1951 in Winston-Salem, NC, the son of the late Jack Franklin May, Jr. and Margaret Brown May. Steve was a graduate of R.J. Reynolds High School in 1969 and a graduate of East Carolina University in 1973. He was a dedicated pirate by two means, Jimmy Buffet and East Carolina. He wore purple proudly. He was a member of the Demolay and the Salem Masonic Lodge #167 AF/AM. Steve was a commercial lender with NCNB, Nationsbank and The Self Help Organization in Charlotte NC. Steve is survived by his two sons, S. Derek May and Brannon Kent May and Wife Candace Brooke May; two sisters, Donna May Cheatwood and Deborah May Schaeffer and his mother, Margaret Brown May. Visitation will be from 2:00pm until 3:00pm, Saturday, November 30, 2013 at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home, 3315 Silas Creek Parkway, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. A Memorial service will follow the visitation. In lieu of flowers Steve would rather you enjoy a ""Cheeseburger in Paradise"" wherever yours may be.
