Sue Jennings Slater

Sue Jennings Slater, 89, passed away Monday, February 9, 2026, at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born on October 1, 1936, in Wilkes County to the late Tom and Martha Jennings. Preceding her in death were two sisters, Hazel and Kathrin and four brothers, Zo, Spencer, Thomas, and Dean. Surviving is her husband, Roy Slater; son, Jimmy Slater; granddaughter, Amber Slater; two great-grandchildren, Ty Wilson and Ashanna Stover and two nephews, Wade Lazenby (Kathy) and Rodney Lazenby (Ruth). A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM Saturday, February 14, 2026, at West Bend Baptist Church with Rev. Jennings O’Neil officiating. Burial will follow at West Bend Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel is serving the family of Mrs. Slater.
