Ms. Susan Louise Sapp, 65, of Winston-Salem, NC, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, January 5, 2026, held in the heart of her longtime partner, Leonard.
A native of Forsyth County, Susan was born on February 25, 1960, to the late Henry Howard and Jessie Louise Parrish Sapp. After graduating from Northwest Guilford High School in 1978, she channeled her hardworking spirit into her own housekeeping business, where she was known for the care and attention she gave to every home.
Susan was the true embodiment of a "forever friend," gifted with a soft and sweet demeanor that made kindness look effortless. She was a woman who truly loved life and lived it to the fullest, finding peace in the simple beauty of flowers and the song of birds.
Above all else, Susan’s greatest passion was her family. Her love for them was the guiding light of her life, and she poured her entire heart into the bonds she shared with those closest to her. She was a constant source of warmth, support, and unconditional love, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who were lucky enough to call her family.
Her legacy will be forever cherished by her significant other of nearly 18 years, Leonard Gregory Sanders; her two beloved daughters, Melissa Shell and Jessica Shell; her sister, Jennifer Sapp; and her brother, David Sapp.
In accordance with Susan’s wishes, no formal services will be held.
