Mrs. Sylvia Jane McClintock Dahmer, 60, of Winston-Salem, passed away Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born February 25, 1954 in Guilford County to Charlie Buddy and Helen Minter McClintock. She was of the Methodist faith. Sylvia was a loving wife, mother and the absolute best sister in the world. She was funny, loving, caring, and smart. Her beauty was not only outside but inside her great big heart too. She lived her life to love, help and encourage not only her family but all those who knew her. She had the ability to make you smile even when you wanted to frown. She loved books, the beach, the sun, flavored popcorn and jelly beans, but most of all she loved her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Jason. Surviving are her loving husband of 37 years, John Dahmer; two sweet daughters, Jessica Marie Dahmer and Scarlett Anne Dahmer of Winston-Salem; one sister, Linda Causey and husband Chuck of Julian; also her loving nieces, Gail Isley, Chrystal Harmon and Meghan Dahmer, Gracie Dunn; one nephew, Carrington Dahmer; and her loving pets, Rickie, Cookie, Cracker, Buster, Bebe and Boots. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, December 12, 2014 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with the Rev. Kent Oviatt officiating.
