Sylvia "Gayle" Miller Willard

Sylvia "Gayle" Miller Willard, 88, widow of Larry David Willard, died Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at her home in Gable, SC.

Born February 21, 1936, she was a daughter of the late William Gray Miller and the late Beulah Lois Ivester Miller. Mrs. Willard was a member of Sardenia Presbyterian Church. She worked with the R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. and was a dedicated mother and homemaker. 

Survivors include three children, Michael David Willard of Kernersville, NC, Tracy Willard Poindexter (Drew) of Dobson, NC, and Jay Willard (Susan) of Gable; five grandchildren, Salem Poindexter, McKenzie Willard, Stratton Poindexter, Ben Willard, and Kaylie DuBose; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two infant daughters. 

A funeral service will be held at 12:00PM on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel officiated by the Rev. Robert Jolly.  The family will receive friends the hour prior, from 11:00AM to 12:00PM, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
