Sylvia Roberts

Mrs. Sylvia Ann Fowler Roberts, 81, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born on October 27, 1935 in Forsyth County to the late Coy Fowler and Leslie Ann Wilson Fowler. Sylvia was a member of Woodland Baptist Church, where she was also a member of the Faithful Followers Sunday School class. She graduated from Mineral Springs High School in 1953. Sylvia later met the love of her life, Delano Thomas Roberts, and they married on March 31, 1956. In addition to her husband of 61 years, she is survived by three children: Mark (Beth), Marty (Melissa), and Kim (Julian); seven grandchildren: Tyler, Blair, Caleb, Zachary, Mollie, Lindsay, and Corey; and four great-grandchildren: Lera, Aaron, Mason, and Beau. A service will be conducted at 12:00 PM Saturday, October 7, at Woodland Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Gammons officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown, NC. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
