Tammy Denise Jones

KERNERSVILLE -- Tammy Denise Jones, 47, went to play on God's team February 1, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center. Tammy was born on October 9, 1966 in Forsyth County to Roy Gray and Betty Lookabill Jones. Tammy worked for Golden Mack and Associates. She was an avid softball player and enjoyed playing volleyball as well. Tammy proudly participated in Relay for Life and the Susan G. Koman Foundation as a breast cancer survivor. Tammy is survived by her parents, Roy and Betty; one son, Jacob Andrew Jones; one daughter, Brandi Spainhour (husband, Chase); two brothers, Timmy Jones (wife, Ann) and Randy Jones (wife, Kim); two grandchildren, Amy Leighann and Taylor Elizabeth Jones; numerous nieces and nephews; and two special friends, Hope and Kristie. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Rev. Paul Dean officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 4, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cancer Services, 3175 Maplewood Avenue, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
