Ted Arlan Shore

Ted Arlen Shore, 94, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, in Forsyth County. He was born on June 18, 1931, to the late John Henry Shore and Ruth Lamar Shore. Ted was a proud United States Army Veteran and served bravely in the Korean War. Ted was a lifetime VFW member in Kernersville. He was honorably discharged in 1954 and went on to pursue a career as a machinist at Allied Tool & Machine Company. When he wasn’t hard at work, Ted enjoyed his time baking delicious cakes and serving the Lord as a member of Main Street Baptist Church. Ted was a family man and found peace at home with his family together. He will be missed by those who knew and loved him. He loved fishing at the coast with his brothers.

In addition to his parents, Ted is preceded in death by his loving wife, Miron Sellers Shore; five brothers; and three sisters.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Nancy Murray (David), two stepsons Bobby Tew (Ann) and Randall Tew (Jeanine); two sisters, Virginia Johnson and Rita Gregory; two very special friends, Harold and Steve Fulk; and four step-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00AM, on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory with Pastor Gene Lancour officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Main Street Baptist Church at 126 N Main St, Kernersville, NC 27284.
