Ted Stewart

Mr. Ted Stewart, 80, passed away Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Bermuda Commons. He was born in Forsyth County on July 26, 1937 to the late Grady Wilson and Mary Canter Stewart. Ted served in the Army National Guard and was a member of the American Legion Post 522. He retired from the City of Winston-Salem as an Inspector and attended Linville Forest, South Fork, and Warners Chapel Churches of Christ. Preceding him in death was his wife, Janet Dull Stewart; two sisters, Ellen Lane and Barbara Minor and a brother, Ned Stewart. Surviving are two sons, Barry Stewart (Susan) and Chris Stewart (Sandy); brother, Sherrill Stewart; two sisters, Virginia Bodsford and Kathryn Wood (Terry); also surviving are several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at Warners Chapel Church of Christ Cemetery with Minister Charley Belch and Minister Claude Pharr officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the church annex. Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel is serving the family of Mr. Stewart.
