Teena Franklin

Ms. Teena Marie Franklin, 54, went home to be with The LORD on Saturday, May 5, 2018. She was born on August 28, 1963 in Winston Salem. She was educated in local schools and graduated from Parkland High School. At an early age, Teena developed her gifts in art and music. She was a talented painter and could play any musical instrument "by ear". Teena served many years as a Nursing Assistant at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center where she was a highly respected teammate. Nurses appreciated her work ethic, and patients appreciated her warm and comforting personality. Her love, kindness and easy going spirit will be greatly missed by her sweet dogs and her lifelong friends, better known as her "adopted family", which include: Darlene Raper, Kendra McKnight, Darrell Raper and Rick Williams. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at Parklawn Memorial Park, with Rev. Francis Smith officiating. Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel is assisting the family.
