Terry Lynn Elliott, M.D.

Terry Lynn Elliott, M.D., passed away at Trinity Elms rehabilitation center in Clemmons, North Carolina at the age of 73. He was born the second son of Charles and Velma Elliott and raised with his brother Bill Elliott in Harrisville, WV, before attending college at West Virginia University (WVU) and ultimately graduating from WVU Medical School. He dedicated 45 years to his career as a family practice physician with a focus in gerontology, including 20 years as the director of the Wheeling Hospital Family Practice Residency Program then as medical director of the Beaufort Veterans Affairs Primary Care Clinic. He was active in the medical society serving as President of the Ohio County Medical Association and President of the West Virginia State Medical Association as well as a delegate to the AMA and the Southern Medical Association. He was an avid golfer and fan of WVU football.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Linda Rich Elliott; daughters Rebecca Lynn Elliott, M.D. (Tony Chamra) and Ashley Elliott McKimmie (Ryan McKimmie, M.D.); grandchildren Teagan Elizabeth McKimmie, Katelyn Renee Chamra, Connor Finn McKimmie, and Cassidy Elliott McKimmie; nieces Alisha Hershman, Christy Elliott, and Kaitlynn Dolan; and nephew Brian Elliott.

Funeral services will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Winston-Salem on August 9 at 5:00 p.m. Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel is serving the family of Mr. Elliott.
