Terry Priddy

Mr. Terry Ervin Priddy, 93, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 9, 2018.

Terry was born July 20, 1924 in Stokes Co. to Edgar and Ella Priddy. He was a member of Seventh-day Adventist Church and loved his Lord. He drove a taxi cab for over 50 years and always kept a Bible on his dash, earning him the nickname "Preacher". In his free time, Terry liked to tinker on cars and bikes and collect numerous different items. In addition to his parents, Terry was preceded in death by his wife, Darlene Smith Priddy, daughters, Judith Darlene Robertson Dennis and Paulette Robertson Spainhour, son, Dennis DuLane Priddy, and three sisters, Louise, Wilma, and Lorene.

Left to cherish Terry's memory are his son, Gary Priddy, Sr.; daughters, Alice White and husband Billy, and Sherry Priddy; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; son in law, John Spainhour; and brothers, Edgar B. "Tubby" Priddy and Grady Priddy.

A funeral service for Terry will be held Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at 2 pm at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment with military honors will follow the service at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
